Its4aCause came from the origins of wanting to start a web site that would benefit charities and charitable causes alike. For the greater part late 2008 and early 2009, the idea went through a number of checkpoints. The two main ones were around the actual business model; will it make money to sustain itself and be beneficial for charities. This is obviously something that will need to be tested in the wild - but as a model, it certainly works. Secondly, are there any legal constraints? Charity law can be a complex beast, and there requires to be due diligence put in place to make sure that a business-to-charity relationship can work, and work legally.

All that has now been put in place and the business is under way. Some preliminary work around UI and technology solution has been established, and the work itself is next. Its4aCause is still going through an incubation period where prototypes and project sizes are being determined. But it is anticipated that the first version of the web site will be released by mid year 2009.
